Grant Criteria

Guiding Principles:
  1. Funds shall be distributed that will directly supplement or create educational or co-curricular opportunities for students (K-12) in the Sisters School District.
  2. Funds shall not be used to pay salaries.
  3. Funds distributed shall be those collected in the prior fiscal year.
Consider the following in distribution evaluation. (Not necessarily in any prioritized order.)
  1. Group's commitment to the project. (How much has the group raised independently?)
  2. Need/Use for requested funds.
  3. Group's ability to raise funds.
  4. Percentage of total budget.
  5. Other funding sources available to the group.
  6. Number of students being affected by the funds.
  7. What precedent is being set.
  8. Is there a direct benefit to the students.
  9. Are other options available for the funds.
  10. Relationship to current and approved curricular or co-curricular programs.
